We'll be cruising along about 3,000 RPM's and the engine starves out and dies. It has happened with a full tank, but seems to happen more as the tank empties. Lifting the fast idle lever, turning the key...it restarts instantly and off we go until it dies again. A few times it didn't die...just ran at rough idle, then regrouped and off we go. Last year it also started funny a few times: the whole powerhead jerking sideways as it idled, until it smoothed out. We've cleaned the tank squeaky clean, checked the pick-up tube--clean, all filters clean, new fuel lines. It's getting worse...ran great about 30 minutes...out in some waves on bay, then it began. Did this about ten times in next half hour as we headed in. Last few miles, up river and out of waves I opened it up to near full throttle--no problem. We got a new fuel pump on it two years ago...no problems for a long time. Old VRO died, we premix our gas. THANKS for listening...advice.
