First boat, need help.

I've been looking for a boat for a couple months now. I haven't found anything that I really like. I'm thinking about making a move on a 17' Carolina Skiff with a 60 HP Mariner. Do you guys think this is a good starter boat for me? Some people told me to look for a bigger engine that is at least 115hp. How fast can a 60HP motor go? I will be doing some striper fishing around Cape Cod. Here is the link.

lol. which is better skiff or v-hull for fishing in around the Cape Cod?

Not sure about Cape Cod, but if it is considered ocean, you really need the V-Hull - at least that is what I have learned first hand here in California, been on both types and the V-hull is way better in ocean swells
