while servicing my 1984 150 xp I noticed that the nut at the bottom of the steering arm shaft had come off. how bad is this. will the steering arm fall off or the engine fall off. I got this motor and boat from a friend for nothing. I did the carbs and serviced the outdrive and it runs great, on a 9 ft checkmate we used when we were kids. this nut has been off for some time it is rusted and so are the treads on the shaft. is it a fix right this second or do I have time?
