MY high temp. buzzer started going off on a recent trip. I checked the thermostat, and it checked good. I have the sensor that goes in the head recess and is held in with a snap ring. I can not seem to find good info on the closing and openening of the switch. It seems to close at about 160 degrees. But the ohm meter does not go directly to closed circuit and does not directly open. Instead the ohms gradually go towards closed and gradually towards open. The buzzer tone changes before it cuts off completely when testeing sensor. Any suggestions on this?

Does your 120 have oil injection my 96 does not so it wouldn't apply for me. But if your does the buzzer would sound for overheat and for lack of oil. Just a thought.
