pontoon cable stearing troubles

This is my first time posting on this site I hope I am posting in the right place!!!Anyway I have a stearing problem with my pontoon the cables came off the barel undrer the dash and i don't know how to rewrap the cable on the barrel I know half goes one way and the other goes the opposit way but do i start from the ends of the barrel and wrap in or from the middle and wrap out ???????

Or you could rewrap what you have...starting in the middle and working out, each in a different direction. You'll know if you went the wrong way, the steering will be backward.

If you can afford it stepping up to a Teleflex NFB would be a quantum leap for you, it is soo much better you will wonder why you waited so long to do it.

here are the directions. you must pull the cables tight.
