I have a '72 Johnson outboard for a few years now. Two years ago I was having trouble starting it intermittently . I would get spark and then not. Finally there was not spark at all. I replaced the sensor , and still no spark. I got a new / used cdi and still no spark. The wiring is somewhat different than what was on the stock sensor. 2 black wires with a white stripe and a green with a white stripe is what is on the new one . How would you recommend hooking this up .
I have power to the purple wire with the key on , but not to the blue. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated
