hi, i just launched my boat today ( 1988) bayliner trophy, the shift cable had been changed over the winter but it seemed to be getting the gears no problem, however, when i was motoring out of the harbour and speeding up it seemed to loose drive and slowed a way down, the engine revs stayed the same. If it was a car i would say the cluth was slipping, has anybody any advice its an omc cobra leg and mercrusier 135 engine.

cheers Gary

Seems like it could be a spun hub on your prop, or a failing coupler. The prop is easier to check than the coupler.

I have the same motor you do in my 93 210 horizon. I am experiencing the same problem (losing power at consistant RPM at cruising speed + full throttle).

From reading yours you are talking abt a spun hub. Do you have a good source for parts?
