Does anyone know if the parts are still availabe to convert this old of a motor?

That would depend on the model of the Tohatsu.

it is a 40 hp 1987.

I have the ttile with me if you need the serial.

This kit assumes that you have a steering link arm, remote control box assy, control cables and a steering cable already in your possesion. If you do not have those items, you will need to purchase them as well."

I need it to go the other way console to tiller. Is it the same kit?

Nope, that would be a 361630001M, which is available from the same source or any other Nissan or Tohatsu dealer.
