Had some issues with my motor today started out getting an overheat warning sure enough, I wasn't ejecting any water. so I shut it down and waited a few minutes. As I tried the engine again it immediately jumped to 2,000 rpms and continued to rise to over 3,000 rpms, I then shut it down and utilized my kicker to get me back to the dock. Once I got back home I checked out the water line and it was clogged with sand. Cleaned it out and put the muffs on and once again started around 3,000 RPMs. I have a friend who is going to help me work on it. I am guessing something is off with the throttle linkage?
