hinge pin access

alpha 1 gen 2


do need to remove the trim senders to get at the hinge pins? manual has no diagram i could find..

Your Mercruiser manual dosent show it? If you dont have the real manual visit the Adults Only section to download a free one for your drive.
Yes, the senders are removed to accesss the hinge pins.

thanks, i thought there would be a zerk for them, but i cant find them or they were discontinued. the book says to grease them, so i guess ill back them out one at a time and grease them.

Ayuh,... Most of the Mercruiser transom assemblies are No longer Grease-able...
Your's is of the Non-grease-able variety...

What manual are you lookin' at,..??

i have the 'warentee and service" one that came with the boat, and i downloaded #31.

Try downloading #14, it's for the drive. 31 is for engines. Maybe yours, maybe not.
