Lower unit leaking

I had my impeller changed and noticed oil leaking from the 2 gear housing water drain holes in the front of the lower unit. I took it back to the shop and they said they didn't notice any leakage and blah blah blah. Anyone know what would gear lube to leak from this area.

misplaced or forgotten oring between the halves maybe...
have you checked the fluid level to see if its draining out?

They should have changed the inexpensive "shift shaft seal" during the impeller service. The oil leaking from those two holes is from the shift shaft seal.
