I ordered a CH Temp gauge today so I went to check if I could get the bung out of the cylinder head hole. It feels like nylon(?) and the corners just slip and round the corners of the bung.

What is the trick to get this out, drill it?

Yes I've seen some that are plastic or nylon. Usually the plastic ones are pretty easy to get out. But if you have one that is stuck, you may have to drill it out.

Righto PNW.

Does the thread of these bungs pose a challenge after being drilled to free it from the thread in the head?
