Q5I Sounder Mounting Location

I have an 09 Q5I SF. I have made up my mind to buy a Lowrance HDS5 unit with GPS and Sounder operations. Later I will purchase the structure scan up grade. Problem is I have no idea where to mount the unit in the helm. I have thought about mounting the unit on the Port side console so I could see it from the helm. I also thought about using a Ram Mount and placing the ball of the mount on the little flat area/tray near the windshield on the port side of the helm letting the unit and ram arm rest on the curve of the dash near the windshield support arm. Any sugestions please let me know. Also if you do have a sounder already installed I would greatly appreciate a couple of photo's.

I used the cup holder at the helm and a RAM mount. I used a cup holder on the starboard side to mount the GPS antenna also.
