Hi Folks,
I have a 2003 Rinker Fiesta Vee 290 with twin Mercruiser 4.3 engines. Today I started the engines and noticed both tachometers were acting up. They were rising and falling and bumping around with the boat at the dock and at idle. Has this happened to anyone before. If so, how did you fix it. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate the help....

Howdy,

And Welcome to iBoats!

Your problem sounds like a poor ground or power connection somewhere. It's most likely NOT a tach problem.

Check all of your battery (plus/minus) connections, ground straps, power connections to the starters, and A+ connections under the instrument panel.

Even a small amount of corrosion on a connection can cause all kinds of seemingly unrelated electrical problems...

Regards,

Rick
