If you put it in there , then your ok
If it`s leaking in ,your not ok.You have a leak that needs to be found and repaired.

IMO any water getting in on a continual basis can't be good. I run mine all weekend and have nothing in the bilge. Unless, that is, the kids are tracking it in from getting in and out of the water. Can you tell where it is coming from? 5 or 6 gallons, the bilge pump should kick on if it is on a float switch.

What period of time are you getting that much water? bt doctur named all the obvious places to start. Crack in the hull, squirrels with a sick sense of humor? You gotta get in there and look. You've come to the right place for help. Most guys on here forgot more than I'll ever know.

I had a similar problem with my old boat. I finally figured out that I only took on water while going slow or if I had people in the front of the boat. It was leaking in through the front eye that the winch hooks to. Try and figure out what the circumstances are when you are leaking water. It took me two years to figure my problem out. Good luck!

At least put a bilge pump and float switch in there until you find the leak!
