Hello, and thanks in advance for your help.
I have just re-powered my 15 foot Sylvan sea monster boat with a 1999 Johnson 50 with electric trim and tilt. The motor came from a pontoon. I have two questions.
1) When trimmed all the way down, the motor seems to be at too great an angle to the transom. The transom angle on this boat is 14 to 16 degrees. When the boat is level, the motor tucks in too far. I'm afraid to throttle up as the bow will plow. ( I know how to use the TNT) There are three holes where the bottom of the TNT unit bolts through the transom brackets, the hole being used is closest to the boat. Can the TNT be mounted using one of the other sets of holes to keep the motor further out from the transom when trimmed down?
2) In setting up my tachometer, how many pulses per revolution do I need to set the tachometer to so it reads correctly?
