I have a 1981 15 HP Johnson (Short Shaft) outboard. The engine runs very good. It has a pull start. How much do you think I should ask If I decided to sell it?

Thanks,

Andy

That would depend on where you are, whether the outboard is a short or long shaft, whether it has electric start, how it looks, and many other factors. Your best bet is to watch local ads and make a decision based on the price for that outboard in your area.

There's no way to give you a price without knowing all those factors.

Yeah, around $600 in the Twin Cities, MN area, too.

I have a 1988 Johnson 15hp with electric start. Paid 1500 for it back in '88. I wouldn't sell mine for less than $800. It's a great motor and I've never had any issues with it.
