Yes, I'm a noob.:(

Anyways, a few weeks back, someone hit my trailer and damaged my crossmember, bunk, and bunk support.

The bunk is probably fine, but I'm replacing it just in case.

My plan is to go to the lake and launch the boat. Then work on the trailer in the parking lot....

My question is obviously, I have to somehow disconnect the wiring from the light housing. I assume I just clip them and then use butt connectors?
Or does the wire harness somehow disconnect from the light housing?
It's a incandescent housing.

It would appear that those lights might be the "submersible" type....therefore you cannot disconnect the wiring at the lens assembly.
(if no two way connectors are used)

Clip, reconnect, using adhesive lined, shrink butt connectors. (Ancor)
You can also use a short piece of shrink tube over that connection to provide an extra measure of waterproofing.

In case anyone else bumps into this problem. I'll provide an update.

On my harness, there is a quick disconnect type connection. There's about 10" of wire off the lights until you get to the disconnect.

It was easy as pie fixing my trailer.

Aww, there should have been more drama!

Sorry your trailer got hit, but I am glad it was an easy fix.
