Mechanic in MI

I'm looking for a mechanic in or around Lansing MI that can work on a 1968 Johnson 65hp. I need lower unit seals replaced. I thought it was something I could do but now I'm just a little nervous about it and wouldn't mind someone doing the job for me so I can just get back out on the water.

Well, I'm not a certified marine mechanic, but I've fixed a bunch of these older outboards, and other than the one that had been left outside a few years, rusted and frozen, I've had a 100% success rate so far. I'm in Burton, and could have a look at it for you. I'd prefer you bring it to me, but I guess I could pick it up. Is that one a mechanical shift, or electric?
