J8RCRM Johnson 8hp aftermarket electic starter or conversion

I am looking to find information regarding a possible conversion for my 8hp seahorse to electric start. does anyone know how i can find an aftermarket starter for this and/or if one is available. I am also looking for the remote steer system that will link up with this as well. Any help would be appreciated. :D

The above is for 2004 10HP, but will give you an idea of the cost. Not sure there's a kit for you motor.

If your boat has a larger OB w/ steering or a sterndrive, this will work:

Don't know that there are any independent steering systems for such small motors, other than racing motors.

There are no kits listed for motors smaller than 9.9.

I have a 1984 brochure. The 9.9 was the smallest for which it was available as an accessory.

Remote control and steering kits were available and appear to still be available.
