Just like the title states, how to check/replace fuel filter on my 1987 175HP Mariner outboard? Any other simple maintenance for the fuel system I should check, do?

Bueler...? Bueeeler?

Honestly, thinking about it, can you even have a fuel filter when you mix oil and gass? Shows you how much I know about fuel filters and outboards!

Fuel filter is about the size of your thumb. It's just a fine screen about what is in the spout of a fuel can. If it's suspect, replace it. I consider a fuel pump kit an annual maintenance item.

Of course, the water pump, LU lube, grease points, etc are all annual maintenance items also.

hope it helps
