Question about Q3 O/B with Tracker motor

Hi all!!

I am considering buying a used Tahoe Q3 with a 115 HP Tracker O/B motor.

The boat looks great, but I am wondering if anyone can tell me about the motor? It is made by mercury, but is it just a rebadged merc, or is it totally different like the old Force motors (which I have right now)? I am loking towards having this boat for a long time, and want to make sure the motor will last.

Any general thoughts about the Q3 would be great to.

Any help on this would be much apreciated!!

I have a 2001 Q3 s/f with a 2004,150efi (it had a 115optimax on it for 18mo).An yes the tracker motor is a merc with the tracker logo on the outside.Your boat should run about 50mph at wot.You will notice chine walk ( watch this)and it will porpoise some so use your trim/throttle to take care of these or look at trim tabs as well. I have a wireless trolling motor on mine and use attwood mini down riggers as well for stripers n walleye. Have any other questions just ask. Good luck!
