Throttle only functions???

I just purchased a 1988 Wellcraft 190 classic 3.7 4 cyld engine.. Issue I have is on all the other boats I have owned the throttle only was engaged by pushing a button in on the lower control lever and then it would engage the throttle only function...on this one there is not button just the release for shifting and the trim up/down, the manual I have is for engine mostly and shows the button style controls... any suggestions? Im sure it must have some type of throttle only?

See if you can pull the handle out a bit. Another style has a knob that you pull out instead of push in. I have had all three styles and I like the pull knob style the best.
