Yamaha 50hp 2 stroke rpm

Does anyone know what is "standard" RPM's for this engine
with a 11 1/2 x14 all I can get is 4800 max....with 10 1/2 x 12 it turns 4900 tops

We need a lot more info to determine whether its prop selection or some outside problem.Unless your boat is a real load my guess is a setup or motor problem.
If you read the stickies at the top of the page and get us more info we can help you out better.
