I have a couple of 1980's vintage 9.8 Mercs that have traces of water in the gearbox. I would like to change the prop shaft seal, but inorder to do that, I need to remove the threaded lock ring that holds the bearing carrier and seal.
Does anyone know where I can get the socket/tool to remove the threaded lock ring?
