I am currently looking at a 1993 Sea Nymph 175 Fish and Ski.

I was wondering what People who are more knowledgable than me feel about this boat.

It has a 115 Johnson OB and a 9.9 Johnson OB.
And a trailer.

Is this boat a good idea or could $5500 buy me a better boat for my needs.

My plans are
1. Lake Wallenpaupack (fresh water fishing.)
2. Sandy Hook (salt water fishing)
3. The occasional trip to lake Ontario.

I have an 81 Sea Nymph and it is still going strong after 30 years, they are a very good boat.

The company has been out of buisnes since about 2001, part of the OMC mess, but until that time they were a really good boat.

The price sounds like it is in the ball park, maybe the high end, wihtout seeing it it is hard to say if you could get a better deal but if itis in good shape it sounds like an okay deal, always try to deal.

I can't see any issues with occaisional salt water use. A good washdown after you pull it out is always a good idea. It looks to have a little bit of a V to it at the stern so it should ride pretty decent in the chop. It does not appear to be in the kind of condition that would command a $5500 price tag. Maybe $3500-4000.

+1 Nice little boat, but could definitely drop in price...

I have this boat. You have a few more toys than I do. I really enjoy the boat. It has a slight V so it cuts chop fairly well. It almost could be a river boat. I am having some issues with tight steering, but no biggy. Mine has a 3 bow top and a factory front bow cover. It has a better trailor also. I paid $3200 for mine. I wouldn't go over $4500 for it. But you have to remember that you are getting into boat season, so the price goes up.
