Hi all, I'm new to the group, though it's saved my bacon more than once, thanks.
My question concerns my Evinrude 1985 or so 4.5 HP kicker on my sailboat. I am thinking about putting a charge coil (part #0581635 I think) to top up the batteries while away from shore power.
Does anyone have experience of what kind of current to expect from this?
Do I need a rectifier/regulator, or would a four diode bridge rectifier (which I already have) do the job, if I watch the battery voltage?
