There's a seal housing for the drive shaft upper seals (or backup oil seal & drive shaft upper seal) that goes right below the lower main seal on bottom of a DT75. Which way are the seals supposed to face?

Letter sides towards each other and lips away from each other?

Wrong forum. This should go in the Yamaha forum, I think.

not sure which seals you are talking about, but if there are 2 then, 1 is to keep oil in and the other is to keep water out. the lips face opposite of each other.

I have seen double seals put in both ways. You will probably need to find a manual for that motor to be sure.
Is it drive shaft seal in lower unit or drive shaft seals on bottom of power head?
