hay good folks, i own a 89 dt30c, "suzuki" this motor has been sitting in storage for three years. orinally i had a cooling problem. thanks for your help with that. it was the thermostat. now i have little or no throttle responce from idle. once i have the motor up in rpm all seems to be working fine but the hole shot leaves a lot to be desired.
do i need to run this motor for a wile befor i start to panic?
could the ignition timing switch part # 37920-95500 have anything to do with it, i have no idea how to use it. any help or sugestions? west:confused:

Re: suzuki dt30c slugish throttle

I am not familiar with that motor and have no idea what a timing switch is, but if the motor is running lean on fuel because of carb problems on some cylinders then it will cause some major piston problems. That is just the nature of 2 strokes. So if you have not cleaned real good after sitting for that long you could wipe out the motor.
