First off this is my first posting on here so bare with me...
I have an '02 225 yamaha vmax hpdi that has around 800 hours give or take and have a problem that I can't figure out. The engine won't rev beyond 2000rpms and I have gone through the filters and all the lines making sure all are not rescricting fuel to the engine. Also have taken the time to flush the engine and lines to assure all things not supposed to be there are out. Finally I have had a couples ideas that I wanted to ask if it could be; first is whether it could be the stater (spl), second i have been told it could also be the tuner because of the high hours on it, and number three I have been told there is a 4th filter on this engine that i missed in my check up, but have looked over the engine break down and can't find it. I apologize about the long question, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if I have left out any info that could help in a diagnosis just let me know and I will do I can to get back to you with the needed info. Thank you again
