Prop suggestions ????

I've had this boat for about 3 years.

It's a 2003 Larson SEi 180, 4.3L, 190hp, Alpha 1, Drive Ratio 1.81R.
I have not changed anything on this boat. We just put on a tower.
It came with a 14 1/2 x 21 aluminum prop and a back up prop the same.
It has a hydro foil on the out drive.
It runs around 45-4600 RPM. WOT around 48 mph.
Weight 2150 lbs plus tower, equipment and passengers I'd say about 800 lbs = 2950 lbs.
Any other Questions?

I am going to take it out maybe next week and get more accurate numbers with and without the hydro foil but I know I'm pretty close with it on and it seems to help.

So I said I have not changed anything but that's not quit true.
I broke my first prop at the end of summer last year(had it checked out and luckily it was just the prop) so that is what I'm getting at.
I was thinking of trying a 4 blade prop. I have read a lot of the post on here and it seams the 4 blade will get me up on plane faster and keep me on plane at lower speeds? Even with the foil it still seams slow to get up on plane. We mostly wake board/ ski / tub so I'm not really worried about top end speed.
But when it is all glass at lake mead I love to open it up.

I was thinking a 4 blade 14 1/2 x 19p or 18p what do you think?

Maybe this one??

Thanks for the help.

Base upon what you've posted I think that solas rubex would be an excellent choice. If you want to save a few bucks the solas amita 4 blade 19p is 30$ cheaper and shipping is free. Very similar prop with the exception of the rubex interchangeable hub.

Either way you are on the right track with a 4 blade 19p. Definitely lose the whale tale. Look into trim tabs if you still have a problem with not enough stern lift with your new 4 blade.

I'm running a Merc 4 blade aluminum 14x20 pitch on the same boat. 4600 rpm WOT and 48mph on the gps. Runs great overall, way smoother running and quick to plane. A 19 pitch would probably be ideal for watersports overall. 18 might be too much.

Trend and Fossil, are both right, the Solas 4 blade in a 19" pitch will be perfect for your setup.

Re: Prop suggestions ????

Took out last week to test new prop. A lot smoother and popped up on plan quicker. Lost some top end speed. Rpm up around 5000.
All and all I'm happier with this set up but I may try a 18P.
Thanks for all input.
