Somebody else been working on it before you? Or did you have the flywheel off? Sounds like a typical sheared flywheel key from somebody not doing it right. Good way to destroy a motor too.

You will have to take the flywheel off and take a look.[THE FLYWHEEL ALWAYS HAS TO BE TORQUED DOWN ONLY,BOUT 105LBS FOR YOUR MODEL ] if you did shear your key,you might have some heavy problems.take a look a tell us what you see if you plan on fixing this yourself.go ahead and do a compression check on your cyls, write back what youve got and go from there.

Far as I know the flywheel doesn't look like it has been off.But who knows. If I pull the flywheel what will I be looking for?I'll pull a compression test tomorrow. Thanks

I was checking the wires going under the flywheel. My question is does either one of the two suppose to have + voltage or -.Niether one has + as of know.

Those are the black kill wires. Joint then together or ground them and the spark goes away. They are hooked to the points.

the black wires connected to your points are your kill wires, they go back out to key switch and the other to vacuum/cut out switch, disconnect them from your points in order to rule out your kill switches, there should be no voltage on these wires,as it would fry the coil/s,check to see any breakage or wear on those wires, that would cause them to ground out,,if grounded it would let it fire,,,,,,ok edited: of course ,if grounded would not let it fire, sorry

That was my problem and it know is fixed.I replaced all the wires that were under the cover. Thanks for the help.I have a nother problem now the carb has three settings for choke. First is choke off,on and automatic. If i put in off mode it runs great. But as I throttle up the choke comes back on.I put a extra washer behind the bolt that it swivels on and tighten it down and it holds it and runs great. But it seems like it still should get more throttle.I'm not sure if the choke sould move with the throttle or not. Thanks again
