do motor mounts get epoxied to hull?

The wood motor mounts in my 1989 Wellcraft 215 Eclipse appeared to be glassed to the hull around their edges but not puttied to the hull as stringers often are.
When I install new wood mounts should I use peanut butter to bed them to the hull?

Thanks

Yes I would bed them in. Are they connected to your stringer's too?

I plan to bed them to the hull and to the stringers both with peanut butter.

After cutting the glass I was able to easily pry them away from both the stringers and the hull!

I have just finished grinding the hull, about 20 hours. Most tabbing had large and small spots that looked starved for resin - so I am back to the hull in most places.

Based on Bond -O's advice I will use ply for stringers - the originals were 1x dimension lumber.

The Tyvek disposable suits with hood and boots along with a full face mask prevented any itching, although I went through about a hundred dollars worth - 12 suits.

The Harbor Freight 7" grinder with 24 grit discs was fantastic along with my 4.5" grinder with cut off discs.

My transom, which looked pretty good came out in flakes. I did not need any chiseling and just 5 minutes of grinding.
