Power Trim 70 hp

So I have an 1988 Merc 70 and the trim motor seems to be gone. I test to ground and it is showing a circuit. Any one know the usual culprit and are they hard to rebuild. It is first start up of the season so I thought it may have been stalled but not so lucky.


One more thing my Serial numer is OA737199 but I can not match this ??

Ok so I have it ready to come off, do I have to split the mountas to get it out or should it just drop off.
