Fisher boat livewell cable

The open/closed valve on this boat was always very difficult to turn. Eventually had to unscrew the little circle fitting near throttle and use a pair of pliers on switch, which pulled and pushed the cable wire that open/closed livewell drain. This part has finally broke. I have tried to figure out what part I need to fix this thing. I have looked at the drain on the livewell and it is just a hose that comes out and runs down to drain at transom. I can't see where the cable line runs to without taking the back deck off which is a PAIN.

Any guidance here on what can be done or what needs to be done?
