Boat starts and idles fine, but won't pull up onto plane. Seems like it runs out of fuel. After changing plugs and fuel filter with no change, I took in to my dealer. They say that the fault codes point to a "mass flow sensor" error. They say that it is integral to the ECM and I need a new one ($1800 list from Mercury).
Can anyone tell me if the MAF sensor is integral to the ECU?
Does anyone have experience with having the ECU rebuilt?? I found a CDIelectronics web page that looks like they would rebuild these??
Or a cheaper source than $1800???
