Hi - i just purchased a 1988 Merc outboard that i am rebuilding the carb on. Since i had it apart i decided to pull the reed block out to inspect. I ordered all the parts/gaskets to put everything back together and what i cannot find anywhere to purchase is the seal that splits the reed block, this would be what goes into the power head.
I can get the gaskets for between the reed block and powerhead and the one between the reed block and intake but not this seal. What do you guys usually do. It looks like i can use some RTV or sometype of sealer and put in on here and install.
