I finally got to take my boat out again and did something stupid!!!, It fell off the trailer (yes completely off the trailer had to push it in the lake) right before it got to the water. So yeah it caused some damage but not enough to keep me off of the lake. My biggest concern after reading a few forums is the stringers how bad do you think they are being it is a 78 starcraft 19" runabout, also i have a couple of pics of the bow or keel where water is leaking from. Can I fix that by putting a few layers of fiberglass tape and resin. If so could someone give me pointers on how to do this?

Re: Bow Repair

It looks like you have more damage than one time of falling off the trailer as you are putting it in the water would cause. All the gell coat is gone and it looks like some one has done some make shift fiberglass repair already. If it fell the fiberglass is likely cracked as well as exposed. You will need to sand and fiber glass both inside and outside and then gell coat over to repair properly.
