I just bought a 4/hp evinrude yachtwin that is in perfect condition.
I can`t find the gas/oil ratio......I keep fouling plugs, the guy I bought it from knows nothing about it at all.the numbers I have found on it are
4136d-e02928 that was the serial # but the same # was on the powerhead not sure if one is model # cant find any thing else.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Rick

I would run that at 24:1. Those Light Twins are a friction type motor and don't have ANY needle bearings in it, whatsoever. If you run it at 50:1, you may likely heat up a rod and blow it apart. Once you do that, you'll understand my signature below.:D:D..............

1964 everything went to 50:1, the 71 was built to run on 50:1. running 24:1, all you are doing is more pollution, smoke, wasting oil.

I agree with TD.

OMC said 50:1, BRP now says 50:1.
