150 XR6 Possible purchase??????

Hi: I am new to the forum and have a question about the XR6.
I live in ca. and we have some strict EPA and California, C.A.R.B. requiremens for some lakes.
Therefore, before buying a year 2000 (I think) Xr6 150, I need to know what requirements it will meet. The serial # is OT065804.

Dennis, Local environmental agencies have jurisdiction over the lakes not the state. If they say no two strokes then that's the regulation. Californina law says nothing about two or four stroke, it simply say's large or small engine. Get an E-Tec or a 4 stroke if you want to be sure you can run anywhere in this goofy state. One week you might be good and the next week you might not.

The XR6 makes cleaner cuts in the manatees, because the prop is well lubed.:D

Thanks for the input......California sucks at least in the fishing dept. Can you tell me how to determine or where to fine the motor specs based on the serial #OT065804?
