rebuilt power head

I need a rebuilt power head for a 2000 Johnson 175 OB . My ob has low compression in 3 cyl and never been rebuilt to date . Should I exchange it or Just have my engine rebuilt ? Does anyone Know who does the best machine shop work for outboards in Florida ? Also if I do go the exchange route who does a good rebuild with a good rep ? Thanks for the input JJB

I use a machine shop in SW Missouri for my machine work, parts and have had them do a whole rebuild. They do nice work and I've not had any comebacks from their work. They normally do wholsale work for marine shops but they will do retail work. PM me if you want their information. I recommend them very highly.
