mercury 150 xr2 cooling problem

I have exhaust coming out of the water intake on the bottom end. Motor keeps running hot. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Sounds normal to me although it should be coming out of both

Exhaust coming out of the water intake?

Stoned, are you running the motor without cooling water hooked up?

yes have water muffs hooked up and also tried sitting motor in a barrel of water

So is the exhaust blowing out past the muffs? They're installed over the water intakes, which is where you said the exhaust is coming out.

FIXED problem ourselves. Jet was clogged up runs great now. Thanks
