Hello i recently purchased a 1975 Chrysler boat with a 120hp outboard. The prop need replacing and until today i was unaware of the difficulty in locating a prop with 18 splines. The question i have is where can i get a replacement prop with 18 splines ? i know they dont make them new anymore and i could get a worn one rebuilt, but my prop is damaged to severely for a rebuild i am afraid.
Better yet is there a way i could make a different prop shaft to work in this lower unit ? I just need some way solve this problem and i would like it if i could fix it for good.
Its on a 15ft boat and the current prop is a 13X17 any advice or ideas would be great. Thanks.
