Cleaning, Inspecting, Greasing Gear Control Box & Motor Supports on the 1970, 35HP, Chrysler was a pleasant surprise for a 40 year old motor.
1. There were no real concerns in the gearbox, fairly clean and greased on both sides, no noticeable wear and a simple designs.
2. I drilled 2, 1/16? holes and used a needle attachment to grease the motor mount?s joints.
3. I inspected the cable steering. Some cracked plastic on the cable but no rust or damage to wire (motor area only).
4. Any Tips/Precautions on Cleaning/Inspecting/Greasing Gear Control Box, Motor Supports, Cable Steering "OR! other Areas?
