Stupid question!!! Can you set the timing on a 2001 Yamaha F100 4-stroke?
Are there any timing belt adjustments to be aware of?

Thanks

If your timing hasn't been changed or adjusted then probably best not to screw with it at all. Good Luck!

ign timing is NOT adjustable on that engine. camshaft belt tension can be checked and adjusted periodically just like the maint schedule says.

Thanks Rodbolt. I was hoping that would be the answer.

Timing is not adjustable, idle is, the timing belt adjustment is by removing the plastic cover, loosening the belt idler pully letting the spring set the correct tension and then retighening the bolt to secure it - Note check waterpump impeller and grease driveshaft at the mid-section bearing. Timing belt replacement every 100 hours ($65.00)
