Retired and still fixing distressed stuff. Latest: 85 maybe 88 hp Johnson V4, ancestry not readily apparent--circa 1976. It has a tilt motor with severe corrosion on the electrical end. The pumping part appears usable.

Whilst I am finding the appropriate parts (buena suerte), can I just leave the pressure off the shocks and putt-putt to my fishing hole with no major problems? This dinasaur is mounted to a 15 ft. flatboat rigged for bass fishing--not class B hydro. I have no need to run 30-40 mph anyway.

Will I need extra paddles?

Thanks,
Landboat
