Wiring-Correct or Incorrect ?

Have 25' Sea Ray Express. Replaced 12 volt buss strip with tapped buss strip.
The colors used are GREEN...bond-neutral-negative, BLACK...120vac, and
WHITE...Positive 12 v. As far as I remember, these are not the DC color codes, except for the GREEN, right?

A quick run down of common colors...
Red - 12V+
Black - 12V-
Purple - Key switch power (12v+)
Blue - dash lights
Grey - Tach

Are you actually talking both 12 volts DC and 120 volts AC in this thread? If so, please have a marine electrician look at this wiring. If you really mean what you said, (Black is 120 VAC and white is 12 volt DC) then someone is going to be electrocuted. Black and white are hot and neutral on a 120 volt AC circuit. White is not a POSITIVE wire in either a 12 volt DC or 120 volt AC distribution system. You also cannot have 12 volt and 120 volt distribution sharing any busses.
