1997 25hp mercury lower unit

Hi
I am new here and would like to know if anyone has the skumatics or drawings on the lower unit of a 1997 25hp. mercury tiller
I just purchased the motor and the guy said he just checked the impeller and changed the lower unit gear oil and as it has set on my boat overnight I noticed oil dripping out from the prop area so I am assuming I need to change the seals.
any help or info would be greatly appreciated

Is is burnt oil/gas mixture or actual gear oil? If the motor had a recent decarb os it runs a rich mixture then it will be normal for thick nasty black oil to be coming out. If it is gear oil then the process to change the seal probably needs to be done by a tech, there are some special tools needed to change the seal. yes it looks like an oil that has been in a car for 50,000 miles
I just checked the lower unit oil and it is clean and full
