I have a 1994 Mercury 90 on a Nitro 170dc. The fitting where the speedometer tube connects is clogged inside the motor. I have tried wire and airpressure but the blockage is solid. I think a bug or something must have got inside when the previous owner unhooked the tube and left it open. Any suggestion on unclogging or just install a transom mounted pitot?

The trim guage is stuck in the up position. I checked with a ohm meter and it changes as you trim up and down but as soon as the switch is turned loose it always goes to 83 ohms. Does this sound like a bad sensor on the trim system?

The tachometer is not working either, where does the tach wiring go to on the motor in order to sense rpm's. Could this be the sensor or the guage itself?

This boat was out of the water for six years, the motor runs excellent and the entire package is a solid 9.5 out of 10. Only problems seem to be with the guages (Trim, Tach and Speedometer). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
