Drive lube fill

What is the proper way to fill a 1989 omc cobra out drive? I changed it last weekend and after runnung it it has a lot of air in the oil?

Ayuh,.. So,.. How did You fill it.... Pumped in from the drain plug,..??

no, I think this is where i messed up. Filled it from the check plug( just pored it in). oops

pump slowly into the lower drain hole or in the middle.
